The absolute form of a noun is best described by what it is not. It is the form of the noun when the noun is not in the construct form. In other words, it is the normal form of the noun, whether it is masculine or feminine singular, plural, or dual. You can recognize that a noun is in its absolute form (or state) simply by looking for its normal endings and vowel patterns. (For these, see Noun later in this resource.)
